Everything in the Bible is true, and happened just the way the Bible says. We can’t see God, but the Bible shows us what He’s like. The stories in the Bible are one of the ways God shows us how much He loves us and how we can be friends with Him. Everyone say, “The Bible is God’s story!”

The Bible says that God is pleased when we have faith in Him. Faith means believing something that we can’t prove. The Bible tells about a man that had faith in God named Noah. God told Noah that He was going to destroy the wickedness in the worlds with a flood. God told Noah to build a big boat called an ark. Noah had never seen a boat or a flood like that.

The ark was going to be big enough to save Noah’s family and two of every kind of animal when the flood came.

Noah couldn’t prove that a flood would really come. Noah didn’t know if such a big boat could really be made. Noah didn’t have any idea how he could get two of every kind of animal into the boat.

But Noah had faith that what God told him was true. Noah started following God’s directions. He built the boat just like God had said to. He built it right in the middle of dry land. Noah’s faith pleased God.

God helped Noah. He told him exactly how to make the boat. He told him what to do to keep the water from coming in. God gathered up all of the animals for him and led them onto the ark. Noah got on the boat before it even started raining. God closed the big door for Noah with his own hand.

Noah did everything God told him to do. He had faith in God. He couldn’t prove that a flood was coming—he just believed God. The Bible says that after Noah was safe inside, the flood came.

This story tells us that God is pleased when we obey Him and believe what He says. Noah’s faith pleased God. The Bible says we should have faith, too.
